1. Lake of the Woods, ON
Sitting right around the borders of Manitoba, Ontario, and Minnesota, Lake of the Woods is a beautiful camping spot with vast lakes that are perfect for swimming, fishing, and on-the-water activities such as kayaking or canoeing. Did you know that Lake of the Woods has over 14,000 islands?
2. Lake Louise, AB
This strikingly blue, picturesque lake is often one of the exquisite natural images that come to mind when somebody thinks of sightseeing in Canada. With RV parking and camping areas available, this is one place you don’t want to skip out on if you’re travelling west this fall.
3. Boissevain, MB
Turtle Mountain Provincial Park within Boissevain has just about everything you could ask for: self-guided trails that are great for hiking and fitness; trails for mountain biking and horseback riding; canoe routes on a lake that also boasts great fishing, boating, and swimming; and a gorgeous view.
4. Revelstoke, BC
Within walking distance of downtown Revelstoke, Lamplighter Campground has unique amenities such as a book exchange, coin-operated laundry room, and a camp kitchen and food lockers. The town offers beautiful views, making for a perfect rest stop when you need a break from hiking and exploring.

Prince Albert National Park has plenty of activities to enjoy, from wakeboarding and canoeing to horseback riding and geocaching. Cycling around the park is a great way to explore by land, and taking a kayak out on the lake is a great way to access the secluded, rich-in-history Grey Owl’s Cabin.
9. Algonquin Park, ON
Algonquin Provincial Park is home to over 250 bird species and a large handful of trails and routes for hiking, biking, and canoeing. Algonquin Park is a nature-lover’s haven with so many outdoor activities to enjoy as you explore the area.
10. The Pas, MB
Just a short drive from The Pas is one of the clearest lakes in the world. With a visible depth of over 35 feet below the surface, this crystal-clear body of water is a sight to behold, aptly named Clearwater Lake. The Provincial Park offers camping and a self-guided hiking “cave” tour through deep crevices formed when rock masses split away from the shoreline.
11. Pacific Rim National Park, BC
A national treasure, Pacific Rim National Park is famous for its ancient rainforest, marine animals, and winter storms that brings out many storm-watchers.
